• Every stone gets a Jouwell Diamond Score. I rate the cut, color and clarity on the certificate from 1 to 100 each, then combine them into one overall score. A confusing certificate becomes one simple answer: is this a good stone? How the score works
• You see your exact diamond. Every stone has HD video of the actual diamond, not a stock photo. Every stone comes with a GIA or IGI certificate, and you can verify its report number on the lab's website yourself.
• Open prices, delivered. The price you see includes insured shipping and duties. Nothing to pay at the door.

Why I started Jouwell

I learned the trade in 1982 under master jewelers, at the bench, one stone at a time. Then I went to the Gemological Institute of America to learn everything about diamonds, gemstones and gemology, and graduated as a Graduate Gemologist in 1984.

For the 40 years since, couples I knew kept asking me the same question: "Where can we buy a diamond in Canada that we can actually trust?" Online, they found thousands of stones and no one to help them choose. I never had a good answer for them. Jouwell is that answer.
